Well, we had a good run.
After 11.5 years of slinging picklebacks, pouring questionable shots of amaro, and convincing you all that foraged lichen was a perfectly normal cocktail ingredient, The Natural Philosopher will be closing its doors on Sunday 31st August.
Running a bar in this economy is a bit like trying to ice-skate uphill — character-building, but ultimately not great for your knees (or your bank account). So we’re calling last orders while we’re still upright.
But don’t get weepy just yet — we’ve still got a month of mischief left. Every Sunday in August is an Industry Night blowout, and on Wednesday 20th we’re auctioning off booze, bar artwork, and all the beautiful bric-a-brac we’ve hoarded over the years. Come say goodbye, snag a memento, and help us finish the last of the stock (you know, for closure).
We may be closing — but we’re not going quietly.
Join us for one last round. Or five.
